The question has been ask many times I
am sure, as to why some start out with the Lord and fall away and end up outside looking in.
What takes place in so many dear ones life
that started out with a very powerful anointing? What would cause them to turn and walk away, after starting out with such
zeal?
Most importantly what is needed is seeking
God’s wisdom for solutions to stop the carnal mind being in control.
Something I feel needs to be taught to
all of the body of Christ, stop expecting so much out of a human being. Most act as if once a person has accepted the Lord
as savior, it is time now to run full throttle.
This has come to mind that after one comes
out of a carnal world pier to fulfilling the carnal flesh. They are given the misconception that there is nothing more to
do or to deal with, nothing to overcome after confessing the Lord.
What a totally delusion to think that all
is well and all of the old mans way of doing and living has just vanished away. No, these things are going to have to be dealt
with and on a daily bases. As the Apostle Paul wrote,”I die daily”.
It is not a shame to admit to yourself
there is work that is going to have to be done. No one is or will ever be perfect and the people of God need to get off a
high horse with this concept of being perfect.
Fact is there is a work that is going to
have to take place. By getting rid of the old ways one has been use to doing.
Did you know that the carnal mind is still
alive and trying to work? It is going to have to be up to the individual to seek for strength and help to get the mind cleaned
out and the mind must become as the mind of Christ.
I think of it somewhat like this, when
the prophet anointed David to be king, the prophet anointed his head and told him what was to be. David had the outside anointed
but the work was to start on the inside of David to prepare him to be King.
Somewhat like one that is saved yes, the
spirit of God is wonderful when you first experience the spirit but you need to know that your carnal mind has been in control
for a long time and you have fulfilled the flesh. The carnal mind needs work done in order for the mind to become like the
mind of Christ.
This does not happen over night, like some
would like to think, it takes a processing, a learning to know what is God and what is nothing more than the carnal mind.
This is sad to start out with such misconception, to just cover up the old carnal mans way, that all one has to do is act
like nothing is in need of getting rid of.
The carnal man must be put into check actual
the bible says the carnal man must die. By that it means, no more satisfying the desire of the carnal man or flesh. St. Matthew
26:41 where Jesus told His disciples that the spirit is willing but that the flesh is weak.
Wow, what a beautiful thing God is doing.
One truly needs to just enjoy this time in their new way of living in the spirit of the Lord by getting acquainted with the
Lord and being filled with His spirit. Take the time to just fellowship with God.
It is by no means a time to feel rushed
into something you are not prepared to do, not a time to hit the road and start a race as to who you can pass up and reach.
Something about the carnal man wants to
be in control and running. God’s will is to teach you and fellowship with you.
Actually the work has just begun and the
teaching of getting rid of allowing the carnal mind to be in control is absolutely a must. By the leaders not teaching the
people this message they are failing their obligation.
Many wonder if they are even saved knowing
that the carnal mind is still active and working and causing them to want to do as they had before accepting the Lord. They
are saved, just need taught and acquaint their selves with the Lord, learn of Him. This should be a wonderful time with the
Lord.
People need to know even King David had
to wait and to be alone with the Lord and be taught of the Lords ways. David showed the example, what a joy it was to be out
there tending sheep and singing unto the Lord, praising Him, learning to know the mind of God and His will. Wow!
It is an on going work daily as I said
that Paul said,” I die daily”, this is not a bad thing, it is glorious as you progress and grow in Him. Praise
the Lord!
God bless, Sonja Arnold
