Why is it that some people
fall away that seemly started out with good intentions and was fired up to do a work for the Lord? Could it be, for the lack
of knowledge?
How is it that some are lead
astray? When they seem to have had all of the right motives and an anointing. Could it be, for the lack of knowledge?
This message is not referring
to the “great falling away” spoken of in the Bible but it could include it as well, as why and how falling away
could happen to so many dear ones that desire to do a work or to serve the Lord.
As the word says, Hosea 4:
6 “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,
that thou shall be no priest to me: seeing how thou has forgotten the law of God, I will also forget thy children.”
This passage of scripture
says, that ones action of disobedient is even handed down unto their children. So it goes to prove just because one may think,
well it is my life and I will do as I please, there are others that are going to suffer as results of lack of knowledge.
Of course there are several
reasons why a falling away may take place. Different reasons yet all stem right back to a lack of knowledge.
Such as a lack of knowing
what the Lord has actually completed in the behalf of a believer, and the power that God has granted His people.
If one does not go to the
effort of acquiring the knowledge of what has been promised and or completed for a believer, then they could very well believe
a lie, and live in fear, doubt, even torment simply by not knowing.
Here is something the word
says,”2 Peter 1: 5-10 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and
to knowledge; temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and
to brotherly kindness, charity.
For if these things be in
you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For
he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore
the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never
fall.
So this has concluded just
what it is going to take to never fall, to not walk around blinded, stumbling around hoping or wishing the right decisions
are being made.
The people of God are going to have to know what the promises of God are and that the promises are for each
and every believer. As well as knowing what the calling and election of God is on ones life.
