One of the Ten Commandments states, Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, Exodus 20th chapter.

It is necessary to teach a message on this in order for the believers to prosper in the spirit. Some of the reason why many are not growing in the spirit as they should is due to the fact this commandment is not being followed. It has been one that very little thought has been given to as too what it truly means.

I am sure if you have been around in this World very long you have seen this commandment broken quite frequently by so many and believers as well.

So many have given their view as to who is of God and who is not. By so doing it only takes one comment to discourage ones faith and could even destroy a work that God has placed on their life.

The tongue is a little member that can do much damage. By not controlling the words that come out of our mouth stating things not knowing it true or false, is breaking this commandment. It is also a form of judging as well.

You never know who it is you are running your mouth about and when you make statements about something someone is doing or not doing you are carrying gossip and you could destroy that person.

This can only hinder the move of God. God will not work where there is contention and rumors flying around. This stops the move of the spirit of the Lord.

If you do not know something as a matter of fact, then do not repeat it why would you feel the need to run your mouth anyway fact or not fact? What is it that is working in someone that feels they have to be telling things on others? The question is what is working in an individual that causes them to do so?

In a country that has desired to do away with the Ten Commandments make me really wonder about people that are breaking the commandments is they have any reverences at all. The World is coming against the commandments this should tell the church to wake up and get out of the pit with the World. Stop breaking the Ten Commandments.

Do not be deceived into thinking it is alright to bear false witness against your neighbor after all look at what Jesus told those that were going to stone the woman because she had been caught in an act of adultery. He said you that are without sin to cast the first stone and of course we know the rest of the story, they all had to leave, I am thinking I bet they all run like a scared rabbit. Here they were standing before our blessed savior Jesus Christ our Lord and were accusing her of something, they wanted to kill her for. What a mess the church has been in and still is. Wonderful thing Jesus said to her was woman where is you accusers, go and sin no more. Meaning she was free.

What a wonderful savior we have He so loves He will even defend us when we are in the wrong. We can learn from this story if we just would get off of this kick of tearing down one another.

So we as a church need to get off of this kick of accusing, gossiping, tale bearing and false witnessing against one another. This is breaking the Ten Commandments.

We will see the spirit of God move in a wonderful way if we will listen to his teaching and follow them.
