It
came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD;
and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying,
For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
2 Chronicles. 5:13
And these are the singers,
chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and
night.1 Chronicles 9:33.
I
have been thinking on this for a very long time now, as to what moves the spirit of the Lord to enter into the midst of the
children of God and what causes His spirit to not enter into the presence of the people.
I have noticed how the spirit
of the Lord moved when the people got into real worshipping the Lord with song, music and praise
The other
day I was reading about the musicians and the singers that David appointed, I have read this before but this time it was as
if “a light bulb came on” and a whole different way of looking at the way the church has been doing.
The
fact is, we the people are not in charge, and it is not left up to us to tell God how He wants His church to function. It
has been far too long that the people have given God a little song and a little dance and then expecting God to accept such
a mess.
People have come together for years talking and going on about everything but the Lord.
You have heard it, how the World is, how sin has taken over and on and on and they call that a worship meeting? Ha! It is
far, far from the real church and how God has told us we are to do.
You
want to know how to get the spirit of the Lord in the people’s presence? Well read about how they worshipped the Lord
with music and singing day and night it was an on going thing that did not stop.
When
I was reading this the other day something deep within my soul just kindled a fire burning, creating a desire to worship the
Lord more and more. This was exciting as I read, David knew just what to do, to offer up praise and thanksgiving to the Lord
and as results, we see how the spirit of the Lord was so pleased. God was in their very presence due to the fact that the
people worshipped the Lord.
It
is not going to move God when we whine and mumble around, it is the opposite of how to get the Lord to move.
We
read and learn that the Israelites missed out of their promise land because all they did was grip and complain about how bad
it was out there in the wilderness and how much better they had it in Egypt. We also know that they did not get to go
into the promise land.
Many
today are missing out on the promises of God and the blessing of God because they have their mind on everything but the Lord.
The Lord, too many have just been a getting place but here is a fact, we will not get, until we give.
When
I think about all that the people of God have missed out on and think about just how far off the track we have gotten it makes
a kindled fire within me that makes me wants to yell it from the mountain top,
do we not read and understand the Bible at all?
Do we not understand just what the Lord expects out of us? After all, the Lord told
us to offer up sacrifice of praise. Why have the people of God gotten off the pathway so much? It is due to the fleshly man
wanting to be seen and heard, it is because people do not truly desire to seek the Lord. They want the Lord to seek them out,
call them out as to make it appear they are so special that God has to point them out and lift them above all mankind.
Sad,
but true the fleshly man has been in charge but I feel that there is coming something on this land that is going to cause
the people to be stirred up and run to the house of the Lord. My prayer is that the church will get off the kick of self,
and get into the spirit of the Lord so that the church will be ready for the things that are about to take place.
But
if one does not know this truth then how can they actually participate in it.
My
prayer is that the true is told, that the Shepard’s get the word out and all of God’s children enter into a Heavenly Place with the Lord. What a wonderful
thing this is going to be when the children of God begin to praise, worship and sing unto the Lord!
God
bless, Sonja Arnold
