I want to talk about what does it mean to be a part of the body of Christ and how does that really work

In order to understand the body you must first realize that Jesus is the head of the body so it will be what ever He wants His body to do, we are to be pliable.

First of all we must realize that without the instruction of the Lord (the leader) the body is not capable of knowing what to do.

The problem with some thinking they can make their own choices and by doing so, then it is no longer a working part of the body they then become dysfunctional. Wondering why things are not working.

Having a dysfunctional member in the body throws the whole body out of line to the point it brings the movement to a halt.

I know many like to lay blame on the devil as to why the moving of the spirit stops or lay blame on others for that matter but the problem can be a member wanting to control the whole body or at least make their own choices and this will not work.

If the people would just get into being in one mind and accord as they did on the day of Pentecost, then the Holy Ghost will come and filled all in the house.

By not being willing to flow together as a body the spirit of God will not move and the house will become empty in more ways than one.

You might even say they are unable to do anything but wait on the leading of the spirit of God to fill the house.

One other thing is if you run across a body that is working well and maybe to your disliking yet the spirit of the Lord is filling the house then leave well enough along. It is obvious they do not need your help or advice. If they are flowing and working together then take the advice that Jesus told His disciples one time, “Let them alone if they are not against us then they must be for us.”

How about your house? Is it full of the spirit of the Lord or is it being full of self-will and trying to force the spirit to move without the spirit leading?

What happens a lot of the times is far to many want to get it going on their own self will power and all you have then is man made self willed services.

The people leave feeling as empty as they came and wonder why they are feeling as bad as they do.

 Some are wondering why more people are not being drawn into the services. Why would anyone want to attend or better yet why would the Lord send anyone into a service that He is not in control of?

He will send them is as the body begins to work together then and only then will the Lord send in others to find help, love, and understanding.

Picture if you will, a body working against it’s self and one leg trying to walk in one direction and the other leg trying to move in the opposite direction, what would happen is the body would go nowhere fast, might even trip it’s self and fall.

What has to be emphasized is Jesus is the head and we are the body that is to function along with Jesus, the body really is not to be doing anything if Jesus is not leading.

In the natural one would not be mean to a part of their own body, not if they are in their right mind, now would they? Yet many times we have seen where some have treated others members as if they wanted to cut them away and push them back but how can that ever work? Answer, is it will not work. A dysfunctional member is not needed only a willing member.

A willing body member does not care what part they are, just overjoyed to be a part of such a wonderful flowing together body with the spirit of God moving and blessing.

If there is to be any separating, then the Lord will do it and He is going to separate the sheep from the goat. Sheep follow and goats think they lead.

The body of Christ has to be a healthy, functioning, flowing together unit, in order for the spirit of God to manifest His mighty power within the whole body.

As the people of God begin to work together as a body then, there will be results but not until the leadership is given to the leader Jesus our Lord.
