I think one of the biggest battles believers have is staying on course and not getting side tract.
I don't know a lot about sailing a boat but I know how vital it is to stay on course or one ends up lost at sea. I am
also aware that while at sea that your sight is not enough to get to the destination.
There are no street signs to inform one if they are going in the right or wrong direction. Of course we know there are
the stars but then could you get to where you desire to go with just the stars?
The waters are enormous and it is a very lonely place out there at sea. I think most of us know very little about sailing
and in order to do so there is much to learn.
Kind a like ones walk or endeavors with God. There are many ways one could go and many roads that one can follow to try
and get to an appointed destination but you can find yourself as alone out there in this big world as if you were out to sea.
The same goes for you cannot go by your sight at times as to know if you are headed in the right direction or not.
You have heard how people do not like to stop and ask for directions, the reason why I think is they do not want to admit
they are lost and need help. Here they are off course and they have to admit that they are lost and have no idea as to where
they are this is a humiliation.
I think many have a misconception about the need to know and grab a Bible and read a few verses believing this gives them
license to go anywhere and do anything this is not the truth. This is a greater problem than the church wants to admit that
so many have gotten off course by believing this lie and it has cause many a good people to be lost so to speak at sea.
With no knowledge as to how to get back on course and of course one problem that a lost one has the willingness to admit
they don't even know what end is up as to where they may be.
The misconception has been to act as if you know everything now that you have God and you are a believer and my thought
on this is no one does this is their normal everyday life, so why in this world are believers doing it in their walk with
God? Reason why is they believe they look good as if they know where they are going.
Many believe that they can't get off course and are unable to be lost but this is a lie and the young believer needs to
know just where it is they are headed one can not go by feelings. you need to know . Your feelings will mislead you every
time.
Was it not true in the Garden of Eden, Eve wondered off course and ended up into damnation? She was not staying on course
and she was not following instructions.
The trick of the enemy is to get believers off course believing the lie that they won't get out of the will of the Lord
they are tricked into believing they know more than God .All that the enemy can really do to you is bring confusion to your
mind and if you follow that spirit of confusion then you have wondered off course.
Here we are talking about Eve, a woman that had everything she had God coming down in the cool of the day just to talk
to her and Adam and yet still she got off course so what makes you or I think that we can get off course? Believing a lie
is the trick that took her off course as well as Adam.
The enemy is the father of lies, that's what he does, that is what he is all about. His plan is to get you to believe
a lie, to trick you into thinking God does not know what he is talking about that you know more than him and not to trust
those that are trying to teach you to stay on course.
My advise to you is to stay on course by have a willingness of getting the teaching that you are going to need .Know God's
plan and know that you are not to follow anything that is contrary to the word or the will of God .
God's plan is not for his children to be lost to be wondering off and lost at sea, he desires each of us to know his plan
and to follow his way.
So the most important thing is to know where you are headed and what is your motivation, what is your destination?
The need to know and the need to follow instructions are vital in your walk with God. One can't go by feelings, not your
sight, you as a believer are going to have to be taught and not guess your way into God's perfect plan.
