When God leads you out of bondage what
are you to expect? When you were in bondage your heart searched for the freedom of the spirit.
For the way things have been going
has not been working and it seemed the famine grew worse for the true living waters of God. Here is what you will encounter
when God leads you out of bondage. You will start to wonder where you are being lead and that the land that you are going
to is a strange land. So the old familiar ways will no longer be there and you are going to have to adjust to an unfamiliar
What happens when you are not really
sure where God is going to take you? Many people have a true desire to be set free of bondages and in their heart they really
would like to be free. Yet something has to take place in your whole being not just finding a new place for you. Things that
got you into bondage will be the very same thing that you are going to have to deal with.
If you are not willing to trust the
Lord with where and what He has for you by not trusting in the Lord, it will only lead you back to a barren land.
What I see in many is though God
desires to set His people free they seem to go right back into a bondage. People just do not trust the Lord and they have
this misconception that maybe they know more than God does. God has the right way for His people and only His way will work.
You will always have those that will
want to be as they were with Job they will watch and they will have remarks to make about the way things are being done.
In psalms 137: 1-4 there were a people
that were ask to play and to sing yet they were unable to do so for they were in a strange land and they had laid down their
harps. These people had left their comfort zone and refuse to worship the Lord even though there were people that wanted to
hear them worship. They refuse to do the work of the Lord.
Strange how people will say they
want the will of the Lord and they want to see people come and receive the Lord. Yet when they are not in the old comfort
zone they cannot worships the Lord nor can they do the work of the Lord. This is the type of bondage I am talking about.
When you are in a strange land and
the place that you are in you are unfamiliar with then this is a place that you really need to get a hold of God and seek
Him with your whole heart. It is not a time to think about the land that you left behind, it is not a time to be thinking
about how you wish you were back in the old ways. It is a time to praise God as you never have before, it is a time to seek
and to worship Him more that ever.
For the ways are not always clear
and the path sometimes may seem weary yet if it is God that has lead you out and it is God that has a place for you to be,
then how can you ever go wrong? The Israelite children wondered in the wilderness for forty years and the reason was
because they thought they were better off back in Egypt for they said out of their own mouth, Exodus 16:12 For it had been
better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. After God has leads out of bondage many
will start to look back and think of the old days of when they at least knew what to expect.
You can take the people out
of slavery while in Egypt but there is still more to be done, being a slave to the ways things were while in Egypt has
to come out of the people. By that I mean the things that you once did, the way you once thought has to come out
of you. The old ways have to die out of you so the new ways of God can come alive.
With God you may not always know
just where He is leading you but the blessed assurance that you will have is that He is leading and where He leads, that way
will be right. His way will always be where there is peace, love, joy, and hope.
When you ask God to set you free,
your whole being is going to have to be set free and your old ways are going to have to go and the new way of the Lord will
not always be easy for the carnal man for the carnal man is always looking for comfort.
The comfort that we as believers
need to know is that God is in control and that He will lead you into His will.
May God bless you on your journey and as
you follow God’s leading put your whole trust in HIM.
