How has God blessed your life? What can you do with what God has blessed you with?
These are a couple of questions that many do not know how to answer,
for they cannot see the blessing that is upon their life.
I want to help some of you to see clearly and to be able to answer these questions as
well as know what to do with your blessing.
Now before you think about how much you own or the gain in your life. I want you to take
a little different view on what a blessing may be.
To be blessed by God does not mean how much you may be worth as far as your bank account.
This is a big mistake that many are making. It is not all about how much you may or may not be worth.
It is about the talents that you have and what are you doing with these talents.
Lets say that the only thing that you may feel you're blessed with is talking and what
could one do with the talent of talking?
You could talk to people that are lonely such as those that are shut INS or that do not
have anyone to talk to. Remember to keep the subject positive and never on things that may upset someone ,you are there to
be an encouragement not to upset.
Always take someone with you when you go out ,this will not only give you support but
also it is using wisdom when you have someone with you. Never go a lone.
You do not have to be a preacher to talk to people nor do you have to be a great speaker
to just set down and talk to people. Be a good listener and let people talk, keeping in mind you are not there to counsel
just to have a nice little talk.
You could take your talent and use it for the Lord as far as just being there for those
that have no one to talk to.
Now lets say you can write well, have you ever taken a thought of those that maybe need
some one to just write a letter to a loved one. Someone that is unable to pick up a pen and writer a card or letter.
Remember to take a friend with you one that will also be blessed just to go out and bless
someone else. This would be a blessing for those that cannot write.
Lets say you sing well, yet no one asks you to sing. What can you do with a singing voice
that would be a blessing to others? There are many places that would be glad to have someone to come sing for those that are
in a nursing home. You could set up a time and have a tape of music and learn some songs and just step out and go sing, make
some one happy with your music.
All you have to do is ask, always ask those that are in charge of entertainment to set
up a time.
Now maybe you read real well, did you know that there are many that cannot read they
would love to have someone read to them you could contact nursing homes and hospitals as well to see about if anyone would
like to have you read a book to some of the residents.
You may have the chance to read the Bible to someone. Start by reading something in the
book of Psalms never try to take charge and read something that may be your doctrine just reading the bible with no input,
unless they ask about something if you feel that you do not know just tell them so and read on. This would be a blessing to
those that are unable to read or see the words to read.
Lets say all you know how to pray, yet you feel there is no place for one like
yourself as far as praying. You are so blessed and your faith in God can move a mountain. So get busy praying for those that
are in need, pray for our country, those that are sick.
There are many that would just love to have someone come in a room of a sick person and
say a prayer with them. You do not have to shake the roof or pray great swelling words, just a nice prayer of faith would
be such a blessing.
Never get load and upsetting to the person you are praying with this will only cases
confusion. Use wisdom when dealing with people use some common sense. If you cannot contain your emotions you will not be
as effective as you could be and will only cause many to not want you to be there.
Always get permission before you do anything as far as praying or reading, do not just
go in someone's room and just assume they want you there or to do anything. You will find some will not want anyone. But for
those that do it can be such a blessing to you as well as the one you are visiting.
Okay ,now for those that say I have none of these talents what can you do. You can be
a help to those that have a talent and just encourage those that they are needed to go out to the world and become a helping
hand.
You see everyone of us are blessed in one way or the other and all of us have something
to offer man kind to be a help to encourage sing a song, read a book, write a letter.
There is much you can do.You do not have to set around wandering what it is you can do.
You can volunteer in many different originations there is a work to do.
If you're a good cook, I am sure there is someone you know that could use a nice treat.
If you sew, well I am sure there is someone you could make something nice for .
The list goes on and on you really already know what you are good at so use it.
How are you blessed? If you look around you will see that you are more blessed that you
thought, for many are unable to do just the smallest task in life you can be a help to many.
So be a blessing and you will be blessed.
The bible tells us to be faithful over a few things and he will make us ruler over many.
Meaning to be faithful and use what the Lord has blessed you with and you will be blessed more than you can imagine.
Work with what you have, use your blessing to help someone else that are
not quite so blessed as you are.
Through out this message I have suggested that you always ask permission
before doing anything and to always take someone with you this is using wisdom and there will be no misunderstanding when
doing it the right way. By making it a comfortable setting for all those that are involved.
